CTS Sport Wagon

Escalade Hybrid

Cadillac launches two new vehicles for 2010 that add new dimensions to the luxury marketplace, while featuring Cadillac's signatures of dramatic design and technology. The completely new SRX Crossover enters one of the luxury market's largest and strongest segments, offering a more dynamic alternative. The CTS Sport Wagon is also new for 2010, expanding the CTS line with a cutting edge design and much more space and utility than its sedan predecessor.

The completely redesigned SRX has a dramatic design inside and out, with more efficient engine choices offered on a new luxury crossover architecture. The midsize SRX's advanced V-6 engines are the smallest-displacement engines Cadillac offers in North America. A new 3.0L direct injected V-6 engine is standard and a new 2.8L turbocharged V-6 is optional. Both employ advanced technology that helps produce strong performance that is typical of larger-displacement engines, but with lower fuel consumption and emissions.

The new SRX is aimed at bringing more emotion to the previously-conservative luxury crossover category, which now accounts for nearly a quarter of the total luxury market in the United States. An advanced all-wheel-drive system created for the new SRX transfers torque front-to-back and also laterally on the rear axle for superior traction and control on slippery surfaces, and responsive handling on dry pavement.

The CTS Sport Wagon is Cadillac's first-ever North American wagon. It is a progressive take on the classic wagon body style that delivers significant functionality and fuel efficiency. Essentially the same size as the acclaimed CTS sport sedan on the outside, it nearly doubles cargo carrying capacity, with 720 litres (25 cubic feet) of space behind the rear seats and 1,523 litres (53.4 cubic feet) with the rear seat folded.

Here's a brief look at the rest of Cadillac's 2010 portfolio that advance the brand's ethic of performance, design and technology.

A new 3.0L direct injected V-6 is the standard engine for CTS sedans. It is the same engine that powers the new CTS Sport Wagon and a variant of the engine used in the all-new SRX.

CTS continues as a technology leader, incorporating a host of convenient and thoughtful features. They include a USB port for audio devices, available adaptive forward lighting that swivels in concert with steering and a "pop-up" navigation system.

The CTS-V returns as Cadillac's ultimate expression of performance and luxury. Its 6.2L supercharged engine delivers 556 horsepower (415 kW). More than just power, CTS-V also includes a comprehensive suite of technical and design enhancements, including Magnetic Ride Control.

The full-size DTS luxury sedan exemplifies Cadillac's tradition of luxury and style. The model adds two new colour choices for 2010 and the ultra-luxury DTS Platinum Edition returns, loaded with premium features and special paint options that represent the fullest extent of Cadillac's elegance.

Among the DTS' advanced technologies is GM's Lane Departure Warning system and Side Blind Zone Alert. The Lane Departure Warning system is designed to help drivers avoid a collision caused by an inadvertent lane change, while the Side Blind Zone Alert system aids drivers' awareness of objects that otherwise might escape their vision. The DTS is also factory-equipped with OnStar 8.0 with Bluetooth capability.

Escalade and Escalade Hybrid

There are three Escalade body styles from which to choose: Escalade, the extended length Escalade ESV and the unique Escalade EXT luxury sport-utility truck. There's also the Escalade Hybrid that is the world's first fuel-saving hybrid applied to a large luxury SUV. It offers a 32-percent improvement in city fuel consumption over non-hybrid models.

For 2010, the Escalade's 6.2L V-8 engine is equipped with fuel-saving Active Fuel Management technology, which automatically shuts off four cylinders in certain low-load driving conditions. Other changes include side thorax air bags added to the front outboard seats and a revised inner door design for enhanced side-impact protection.

Escalade Platinum is the fullest expression of the brand's dramatic design, luxury and technology. It returns for 2010 with distinctive features, such as segment-first LED headlamps and exclusive interior appointments. The Platinum is the most luxurious model in the Escalade lineup and one of the most technically advanced SUVs on the market.

Cadillac's luxury performance sedan is offered in V-6 and V-8 rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive models. A 302-horsepower (225 kW) 3.6L direct injected V-6 engine with exceptional power, fuel economy and reduced emissions is standard. Updates for 2010 include a pair of new exterior colours.

The STS Platinum delivers distinctive luxury nuances, such as 18-inch wheels, leather-wrapped interior, an AlcantaraTM headliner and exclusive Platinum badging.
